KOMATSU PC 75 R-2 2P midi-tracked excavator
The Komatsu PC75R-2 is a midi-tracked excavator weighing approximately 7.5 metric tons with a swing arm and a two-segment configuration. The swing arm rotates laterally relative to the undercarriage axis—to the left and to the right—without having to move the tracks: this allows for digging parallel to a wall, a foundation, or a trench by positioning the machine just once. The two-piece boom adds positioning flexibility at height and in spaces where a one-piece boom cannot maneuver.
Key Operational Features
- Swinging boom. Hydraulic lateral rotation without repositioning the tracks—reduces cycle times and allows work to be performed close to existing structures on both sides of the machine.
- Two-segment boom (2-piece boom). The two-section articulation increases vertical maneuverability, which is useful under low ceilings, in tunnels, or where headroom is a constraint.
- Power/Economy modes. Two selectable hydraulic modes: full power where needed, reduced fuel consumption during less demanding operations.
Who It’s Suited For
Civil and infrastructure construction companies that frequently work near existing structures: laying underground utilities in urban areas, foundation excavation, trench work, and projects in spaces with limited lateral maneuverability. Its weight—over seven metric tons—ensures higher productivity than compact mini-excavators on job sites requiring significant excavation depths.
